What is Circuit of The Americas?

Circuit of The Americas is the premier destination for world-class motorsports and entertainment in the United States. Set on 1,500 acres in the rolling hills just outside Downtown Austin, Circuit of The Americas has hosted the biggest names in racing, action sports and music since 2012.

How close is COTALAND to Circuit of The Americas and Germania Insurance Amphitheater?

COTALAND is located directly adjacent to the racetrack, stretching along the final few corners and offering exhilarating rides with excellent views of the on-track action.

Is COTACamping close to COTALAND?

Yes, the COTA RV park is a short walk away from COTALAND and is a great place to stay during your visit.

Tickets and Passes1

What does my COTALAND admission include?

Standard admission includes baseline access to all rides, shows, and attractions within the main theme park, parking not included. Some premium experiences and special events may require additional tickets or passes. Hot Lap and Speed City are premium add-on experiences and are not included with standard admission.

What is the difference between pass products?
  • Any Day Ticket: One-day admission to COTALAND on the day of your choice. Valid for six months from the date of purchase. Blackout dates apply.
  • Choose Your Day Ticket One-day admission to COTALAND for a specified date. Certain dates not available.
  • Two Day Ticket: Two consecutive days of admission to COTALAND. Certain dates not available.
  • Pro Pass Annual pass with unlimited visits plus exclusive benefits, including free general parking, select merchandise discounts, and passholder event access. Blackout dates apply.
  • Champion Pass Annual pass with unlimited visits plus exclusive benefits including free preferred parking, select merchandise discounts, VIP Pass entrance, and passholder event access. Blackout dates apply.
  • Podium Pass Not valid for admission to the park. May be offered to provide access to an exclusive queue lane at participating attractions.
  • Rookie Pass: available at a later date.
  • Hall of Fame Pass: available at a later date.

Subject to final ticket offerings and details. Parking will not be available during COTA Events and may not be available on certain Blackout Dates.

What are blackout dates and where can I learn about them?

Certain dates may be designated as Blackout Dates for some or all Ticket or Pass types. Blackout Dates may be determined and published by COTALAND from time to time in COTALAND’s sole discretion and may include special events, major motorsport weekends, concerts, private events, Park buyouts, filming, and other campus activities.

Does my child need an admission ticket?

Children under 3 years of age receive free admission. All guests aged 3 and older require a valid ticket or pass for entry.

Can I upgrade my ticket to a Pro Pass or Champion Pass?

Guests can upgrade a ticket to a Pro Pass or Champion Pass at Guest Services on the day of their visit. Pass upgrades are currently not available online.

Does COTALAND offer front-of-line access for their rides and attractions?

Yes, Podium Pass access is available for purchase as a daily add-on. Podium Pass allows you to skip the regular line at most major attractions and access the exclusive Fast Lane. Podium Pass cannot be shared by guests. Podium Pass may use biometric data to facilitate speedy entry. Any use of biometric data will be subject to the Terms and Conditions of your ticket purchase and our Privacy Policy. To opt out of biometric data collection, please email Guest Services prior to your visit, or contact Guest Services on-site.

Are there any restrictions on Podium Pass?

During peak operating dates, COTALAND reserves the right to impose cool down periods or other limitations on the use of Podium Pass to ensure all Guests’ enjoyment. Podium Pass is nontransferable and usable by a single individual only. In order to use Podium Pass, look for signage indicating the exclusive queue lane at participating rides. Participants must meet all posted ride restrictions and requirements.

Do you use biometric data?

COTALAND reserves the right to incorporate the use of biometric data into park admissions and other pass products. Any use of biometric data will be subject to the Terms and Conditions of your ticket purchase and our Privacy Policy. To opt out of biometric data collection, please email Guest Services prior to your visit, or contact Guest Services on-site.

How does Membership work?

If offered, Membership allows you to spread the cost of your annual pass across 12 equal monthly payments with an initial deposit, plus applicable taxes and fees. A valid credit card is required for enrollment.

What should I do if I can't access my online tickets?

You can display your tickets on your mobile device at the entrance gates. If you don't have mobile access, visit our Guest Services window with your confirmation number and photo ID.

What happens if I lost or forgot my pass?

Visit Guest Services with a valid photo ID to receive a replacement pass. A replacement fee may apply. Fees may apply for printed passes.

Do you offer military discounts?

Yes, we offer special discounted admission for active and retired military personnel with valid ID. Military family members also receive discounted rates with military personnel present. Tickets with military discounts will be available for purchase only on-site at Guest Services.

Do you offer group rates?

Yes, for groups of 15 or more. COTALAND is a great place to host your birthday, corporate, or school event! Reach out to Guest Services for discounted rates and reservation details.

Where should I eat?

Are there dining plans available?

Yes, All-Day Dining plans can be purchased online or at the park. Cool-down periods apply for food and drink purchases. To learn more about our dining plans and options, please visit our dining page.

Reservations, Cancellations, and Reentry

What is your refund or cancellation policy?

All ticket and pass sales are final, along with all experience passes including Hot Lap and Speed City. We do not offer refunds, exchanges, or cancellations, including for unused tickets, inclement weather, or personal schedule changes. In some cases, dated tickets may be eligible for a one-time date or time change (subject to availability and price differences). In the case of inclement weather, certain experiences may be rescheduled by COTALAND in its sole discretion, subject to availability. Please review all details carefully before completing your purchase.

May I transfer my ticket to someone else?

No. Tickets are non-transferable and may only be used by the person for whom they were purchased. Valid ID may be required. This policy helps us protect guests from fraud and ensure accurate admission and capacity management.

How do I re-enter the park if I have to leave for some reason?

Hand stamps, valid COTALAND ticket, and photo ID are required for same-day re-entry. Please exit through designated turnstiles to receive your hand stamp.

Park Policies & Information

Is parking available?

Yes, general and preferred parking is available for a daily fee. Accessible parking is also available (for a daily fee) near the entrance with a valid placard or license plate. Annual and daily parking passes are not valid during COTA Events or Blackout Dates (unless otherwise noted), including annual parking passes incorporated as part of Champion Pass and Pro Pass. May I bring my own food and beverages into COTALAND?

Outside food and drinks are not permitted, except for guests with special dietary needs, allergies, or baby food/formula. Outside alcoholic beverages are not allowed under any circumstances. Contact [email protected] to learn more about bringing in special dietary food if you have food allergies prior to your visit.

Do you accommodate dietary restrictions (gluten-free, vegan, allergies)?

We have a wide variety of options including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and allergen-friendly meals. Please contact our food allergy team at [email protected] to discuss bringing in special dietary foods. COTALAND cannot promise all food will be free of cross-contact.

What are the ride safety policies?

All guests must meet height, weight, and health requirements posted at each attraction. Loose articles, including bags, must be stored in provided compartments or with non-riding guests. For safety reasons, some attractions may not accommodate guests with certain physical conditions. Rides may not be suitable for all guests. You should not ride if you have a history of medical issues or have any condition or impairment that would prevent the intended use of seating and safety restraints as provided or an inability to follow any safety requirements. For everyone’s safety, we strictly enforce these requirements.

Does my child need parent supervision at COTALAND?

Guests under 14 years of age must be accompanied by a supervising companion who is at least 18 years old.

Are pets permitted at COTALAND?

Pets are not permitted at COTALAND. Only trained service animals are permitted inside COTALAND. A service animal is a dog or miniature horse that has been individually trained to do work or perform tasks for an individual with a disability. Service animals must be leashed and under the control of the owner at all times. Service animals may not be permitted to ride certain attractions or to access certain areas, for the safety of the animal and other guests. Emotional support animals and comfort animals are not considered service animals. Service animals must be housebroken and well-mannered and may not enter any water features. Inappropriate behaviors (e.g., barking, growling, jumping, lunging, or biting) will be addressed by COTALAND staff. Please contact Guest Services to learn more about attractions and areas where service animals are not permitted.

Can you rent strollers and wheelchairs?

Yes, strollers, wheelchairs, and electric convenience vehicles are available for rent on a first-come, first-served basis at the main entrance. A limited number of advanced rentals may be available online.

Is there a place to store my belongings inside the park?

Lockers of various sizes are available for rent near the main entrance and in various locations throughout the park.

What forms of payment does COTALAND accept?

We accept major credit cards including Mastercard, Visa, American Express, and Discover, debit cards, COTALAND gift cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. All attractions and vendors within the park are cashless. Reverse ATMs are available for guests that would like to convert their cash into a prepaid debit card.

What happens if I lose something in the park?

Lost and Found is located at Guest Services. Found items are kept for a limited time. Unclaimed items will be considered abandoned property and may be donated or discarded after seven days in accordance with our policy. We are not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen property. Items should be stored appropriately prior to boarding rides, and items lost on rides may not be recoverable or may be retrieved after the park closes and put in Lost and Found.

What happens if it rains?

COTALAND remains open during light to moderate rain. Some outdoor attractions may temporarily close during inclement weather and will reopen when conditions permit. We do not offer refunds, exchanges, or cancellations, including for unused tickets, inclement weather, or personal schedule changes, unless required by law. Certain premium experiences, such as the Hot Lap program, may be subject to reschedule based on track availability, and at COTALAND’s sole discretion.

What water attractions are available at COTALAND?

The main park features several water rides and splash areas.

Does COTALAND offer Wi-Fi?

Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the park. Connect to "COTALAND-Guest" and follow the prompts to register.

Are there any special events throughout the year?

COTALAND will host seasonal and other special events throughout the year. Some special events may coincide with major motorsports at the Circuit of The Americas (e.g. the Formula 1 United States Grand Prix, MotoGP Grand Prix of the Americas, Lone Star Le Mans Endurance Race, and the NASCAR EchoPark Automotive Grand Prix). Any-day tickets and annual passes to COTALAND may not provide entry during special events; these special events will be included under Blackout Dates if such ticket products do not grant access. During certain special events hosted by Circuit of The Americas (“COTA Events”), such as the Formula 1 United States Grand Prix, a ticket to access the event itself at Circuit of The Americas and purchase of a COTALAND wristband or upgrade will be required to access available COTALAND attractions.

What is the Formula 1 United States Grand Prix?

The Formula 1 United States Grand Prix is the premier annual motor race held at the nation's only purpose-built racetrack. Offering a weekend of sprint racing, concerts, and capped by the thrilling Grand Prix race around the Circuits 3.41 mile track.

Safety & Security

Do you have a code of conduct or guest behavior policy?

Yes. COTALAND is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and enjoyable experience for all guests. To help us maintain a positive environment, we ask all guests adhere to certain guidelines, including but not limited to:

  • Treat fellow guests and team members with courtesy and respect.
  • Refrain from using offensive language, gestures, or clothing.
  • Follow all posted safety rules and verbal instructions from staff.
  • Do not run, push, or engage in unsafe behavior in queue lines or attractions.
  • Alcohol may only be consumed in designated areas by guests age 21 or older.
  • Smoking and vaping are only permitted in designated areas.
  • Weapons of any kind, including those with concealed carry permits, are strictly prohibited.

Do you remove guests for misconduct?

Yes. We reserve the right to refuse admission or remove any guest without refund for behavior that is unsafe, disruptive, or violates park policies. This includes harassment, intoxication, line jumping, vandalism, or failure to follow staff instructions.

What happens if someone breaks a rule?

Depending on the situation, consequences may include:

  • A verbal warning
  • Removal from a ride or area
  • Ejection from the park without refund
  • Reporting to law enforcement where applicable
Do you conduct bag checks or screenings at the entrance?

Yes, for the safety of all guests and team members, all persons, bags, and belongings are subject to "security screening before entry. This may include bag checks, metal detection, and visual inspections."

What items are prohibited?

For everyone's safety, the following items are not permitted inside the park:

  • Weapons of any kind to include components/parts toys or replicas (including firearms, ammunition, knives, and self-defense items such as pepper spray) Rat tail combs or pointed object with long fixed point, and or any instrument that shoots or delivers an electrical charge or projectile including CO2 powered devices.
  • Martial arts weapons, kubatons, and black jacks
  • Explosives or fireworks and other pyrotechnics to include any incendiary devices, components or parts.
  • Recreational drugs or illegal substances
  • Outside Food & Beverages
  • Animals (unless a service animal as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act - ADA - and in accordance with Service Animal Policy of the Venue)
  • Outside alcoholic beverages (unless specifically allowed for special events)
  • Drones or remote-controlled devices
  • Glass containers (except baby food jars)
  • Sealed packages or parcels of any kind
  • Sporting equipment including but not limited to baseball bats, hockey sticks, and balls
  • Frisbees, beach balls, inflatables, or other projectiles
  • Skateboards, hoverboards, or similar personal vehicles
  • Laser pointers, noisemakers, or items that may disrupt operations
  • Any other items deemed by Venue or event personnel to be inappropriate, dangerous, or challenging to public safety in the Venue's sole discretion.
Do you allow concealed carry?

No, "firearms and other weapons are not permitted on park property, even with a valid concealed carry permit," per Texas law provisions.

What happens if I refuse screening?

Guests who decline security screening or are found with prohibited items will not be allowed entry and may be escorted off property without a refund.

Can I bring medical supplies or mobility devices?

Yes. Medically necessary items and assistive devices are allowed. We recommend informing security staff in advance if you need accommodation during screening.

Is smoking permitted in the park?

Smoking, including e-cigarettes and vaping, is only permitted in designated smoking areas located outside the main park areas.

Are first aid services available?

Yes. Our First Aid Center is staffed by certified medical personnel and available during park hours for minor injuries and assistance. All injuries must be reported to First Aid prior to leaving the park.

Do you have nursing rooms?

Yes, nursing rooms will be available throughout the park.

What if our party gets separated?

Plan on arranging a meeting place and time should your party become separated. Guest Relations can hold messages for separated party members, and our employees will take children who have been separated from their family or group here to be reunited.

Is there shade?

Yes, there will be many shaded areas throughout the part to seek refuge from the Texas heat. Guests are also welcome to explore our Turn 20 building with AC.

Photos & Videos

Can I take pictures or record video?

Personal photography and video recording are welcome in most areas of the park. However, cameras must not interfere with the enjoyment or safety of other guests. Use of tripods, monopods, or selfie sticks is prohibited on rides and attractions. Please do not take photographs and videos of other guests without their permission. During certain special events, photography and video recording may be subject to additional terms and restrictions. These may be found in the terms and conditions attached to your purchase of a ticket to that event (if sold separately from COTALAND access or admission).

What about commercial filming?

All commercial photography or video production requires prior written approval. Unauthorized commercial use of images taken in the park is prohibited.

Will I be filmed or photographed during my visit?

By entering the park, you consent to being filmed, photographed, or recorded for promotional, security, or safety purposes without compensation.

Can I bring a drone?

For safety and privacy, drones and other aerial devices are prohibited in the park and surrounding areas.
